Hello,

I'm in a process of upgrading my 67 gals to 150 gals and want to seek advise on the total tank's weights and floor reinforcement.

My current tank is around 85 total water with stand and its sitting on my living room (relatively) open space and there is no support wall in the basement. The tank sit against the wall that divided the living room and another room and every time my kids (5-8) running around or near the tank its would shake not too much but shook.

I was wondering if it is safe to have the new build 150 gals + sump + stand there or not

The house is built in 2006 and its a brick house.

Any advise is greatly appreciated

Thanks

Can you post pics of the basement where the tank would be over top? You will most likely want to reinforce the floor. From what you are describing, I would not want to have that much weight there.
