Quick little 20 I set up yesterday. I already had the clowns and rock in a different holding tank, but wanted a actual setup again. My larger tanks are on hold still.

Pair of clowns, the larger still my first saltwater fish going on over 7 years now. GSP and a small zoa group. Hoping to add more corals as I can.

20 long, finnex heater, jabeo power head, hydra 26 hd for light, and a hob filter.

Really like it....sometimes I miss the simplistic approach. Gorgeous clowns!

Thanks. They're just regular old false percs, but mine none the less.

Simple was key here. Just a clean tank that supports life and helps it grow. The complex build will be coming soon enough.

Thanks, I got it from a guy in my local club. He acid dipped it and cycled it, then sold it off cause he was moving. I have a bunch more in a holding tank for my large build.

I would guess around 3" total length. She has been through a ton with me between moves, sickness, and tank crashes. My first fish and the one who lives through everything.

Not much to say yet. Had the brown uglies start up and added some Kent phosphate media, that cleaned it up fairly quick. Ordered a CUC from reef cleaners and it should be here soon.

Looking for some frags locally to add to it.

Did a water change today and tested everything. Everything is at good levels, but cal and mag could be a bit higher. Will dose them up.

Added a hob skimmer to help clean the poop out.

Also did a bit of rock rearranging and created a little bridge.

Somehow my cuc got delivered to the wrong house and sent back. Working with reef cleaners on getting another order. Have to shout out to them on being great to work with when it isn't their fault a bit.

Small update. I have the ugliest! Some sort of algae is trying to take over. I was thinking hair, but after trying to pull it and scrub it, it doesn't seem to want to come off. Did a 5 gallon water change today and soaked one of the rocks in there with about 4ml of h2o2 while I cleaned the skimmer. Rock came out basically clean again! Will do a different rock with next water change. I have added a cuc and they don't touch it. I added a small kole tang and it isn't touching it either. Don't yell, I have plenty of other tanks I can transfer him to at any point.

Testing levels tonight and found the tank was consuming way more calcium then I thought. So I have to up the dosing on it.

But I found a nice brain coral today, a trachyphyllia I believe. After a two hour acclimation I put the lights on acclimate and added to the tank.

Testing phosphate I get .03 when lights are on. Testing first thing in the morning before lights come up I get .09.

Even though I had a bad of phosphate media in the hob filter, I pulled it today in favor of a reactor. Gonna see how it works on pulling it down some more.

Tank has finally cleared up! Algae is slowly going away and the rocks aren't covered anymore. I've gone to using a turkey vaster to suck out the remaining bits.

Sad news though, I lost one of my clowns. Now I only have one clown left in the tank.
