Went and picked up a favorite tool of mine . Silicone pot holders will kill any pump hum . These are pretty soft and thick .

So do you put these in the sump? I just set up a new tank and the pump humming is killing me!

Yes I do . They should have a few to choose from . I put them right under the pump . The other one is under my skimmer .

looking good Percy

Thanks Walter .

Playing with the phone .

I wish I could get the colors right on this Acan . I have a few others like in the right hand corner that put this one to shame . I just like how inflated it gets .

An older shot when the water was added . Right side view .

photobucket-35550-1327242950110.jpg

FTS . LPS left from the storm were added back in . Ignore the cheap thermo . I used it to check the RKL temp variances in the sump and tank .

photobucket-1025-1327243036874.jpg

Tank is still going through it's up's and downs of brown crud . Comes back and goes away . Glass pretty much stays clean but a lot of critters.
PO4 went to 0.10 so I got it back down to 0 with some PO4 X 4 . Only six bulbs are on in this pic . The chaeto is in the sump . It's not growing as fast as I thought it would . Maybe it's the wrong variety . The picture in the background is removed.

Lookin really good.

I found that my chaeto grew quickest under pc lighting (had a cheap 24w oddyssea light with a 50/50 bulb) and when I occasionally dosed iron supplement (used bright well ferion). Sometimes it was a hassle to trim so often but it kept my water nitrate free.

I just have a rose red try lumen led strip on the refugium section.
I may just go to lowes and pick up a power compact light to add to it.
Nice to know it does grow.

looking good I have the same tank...

Thanks...

BTW ... This is for B ...tbh20 ..ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
The school bus in the pic has a story behind it . ^^^^^^^^^^^^^
I used to work for a ISP and worked In VOPS Trouble MGT or VOPS
My job was provisioning switches ,working with the NOC telephony , fixing broken services, etc and helping customers .. internal and external .
Our teams rule of thumb was like Nike .. just do it ... or just fix it .
If you brought something to me to fix and you continued to make the same error (internal customer ) . I eventually would say enough is enough . I would then send a nice polite email with the repeated errors . Screen shots , dates , times of the errors and the user .. with some nice feedback . They would eventually over hear my boss talking to that person's supv or me talking to the supv about those errors .
My team members would start singing a song .. "The wheels on the bus go round and round " etc . The saying was " who did P throw under the bus today or run over today" .. ?
At my going away party my boss gave me that bus as a present .
In a nutshell I no longer drive the bus ..or throw anyone under it .

Wow. That came out of left field. I'm friends with B (at least I think I am, he never calls me back) and that perked my curiosity. EDIT - I re-read it again and looked at the previous pics and now think I understand what you are talking about.

Anyway. Tank looks awesome Percy. I'm jealous. I've been trying for months to restart my old standby 90 gallon and life (3 kids) keep getting in the way. Instead I live vicariously through build threads like this to get through the day. I work in IT too so I'm sure you understand.
