Like the subject states, what is the best method to dose AcroPower? I have the Red Sea Reefer 200 (roughly 45ish gallons??) and dose AcroPower manually, once a week. I started with 10ml, but that seems heavy, and was a misread on my end... I've done some reading and there is some inconsistencies with how much to dose, and when.

So, how much should one be dosing for 45ish gallons? And should the entire dose be put in at once, or is it best to spread out the dose through the week? If total dose is 5ml, I would dose .7ml every day for 7 days. Or is it best to do the entire 5ml at one time?

Thanks everyone :beaming-face-with-smiling-eyes:

Deeper coloration and PE on my SPS. The last tank I had, AcroPower had just came out right as I tore the tank down. I have always been very interested to see its affects in my own reef.

I'm not sure if it will do those things, but unless nitrate is low (another reason to dose amino acids), I'd just follow the manufacturer directions with respect to amounts. I'd dose it in the early AM since it may lower O2.

10-4, thank you Randy.

When you say, "unless No3 is low" what is your definition of low? I'm sitting right around 5.3ppm.

That’s enough, IMO. Amino acids can be a nitrogen source for corals, perhaps one they prefer to nitrate.

Hi Randy, you dont think aminos are helpful unless NO3 is low? Mine is around 10-20 ppm.
I’m not sure. They may elicit a feeding response, and certain ones such as aspartic acid may be otherwise useful.

I get Dinos every time I add that crap to my tank.
You’re not the first to report this! I’ve read that in several places.. even battle corals had that experience..

Yeah, seriously avoid this stuff like the plague! No listed ingredients, no idea what's in here.

Weird. Been doing it for years. Never had an issue. But my wife notices when I start and stop it. So I keep using it.

ARE YOU READY TO CONFESS TO CRAZIEST, DUMBEST, FUNNIEST THING YOU’VE EVER DONE IN REEFING?
