here is my 125 with three Hydras. Settings are

CW-55%
V-80%
R-60%
G-60%
RB-80%
DB-80%
UV-60%

Ramp is 3.5 hours

I feel like this is a little high but the lights are higher above the water than I would like. About 15". My acros and other sps do fine and grow great but I have a rbta that seems to stretch. Even seems too high for scolys and brains on the sand I have to up them in the shade or in the corners.

here is my 52s settings at the moment, been looking into the most efficient schedules and inc/decreasing certain levels to my liking.
was hoping AI would have some more detailed presets but what can you do maybe in the future. the director is amazing tho. loving the light too, havent lost one piece and only bleached the color on one.

How did you mount them in parallel with your tank. I'm using the tank mount rails and am not 100% happy with the lights being perpendicular.

I actually used metal electrical conduit from Lowes and painted it black. Drilled holes in it for all the bolts to go through. Just have to find bolts that are long enough so the fan is not blocked any. But I may be replacing them with chains just to get the fixtures a little closer to the water.

Just installed the new Hydra 52's and hooked them up to my apex system.

I used some stock redsea fans I had laying around to help cool them.

Has anyone had problems with the Hydra and Director? I went from Kessil a360w to the Hydra with a Director. I have had nothing but problems with this light I was wondering if anyone has experienced the same issues. I have come home several times to the light on at full power and the director shows the light to be off. Also the date and time keep changing on its own. AI told me it was a power cord issue and have sent me a new one. That did nothing to solve the problem. Did i get a bad light or Director? just curious if any one else has had the same problems.

im using the director, its flawless now but my first one got stuck in an update mode and after a little troubleshooting with ai (funny they said it was my power cord was faulty too) they just sent me a new one. so far so good idk if it updated on its own or came pre updated but its amazing now.

I have not had any issues with my Director since setting it up. Its amazing how easy it is to make adjustments to individual colors and the vast ways you can set up the lights to operate.

Just go my hydra's and has anyone noticed that they are not that bright! I was told that withy tank I should run them about 45% as to not bleach my corrals. I previously had marine land reef capable lights which I learned were not strong enough to support all my corals. When I got my new ai hydras, set them to what was recommended and noticed they were not even close to being as bright and way to much blues. Any suggestions? I have a 30 gal Cardiff mixed reef.

Does lightning come on when using region weather? I have lighting mode off but last night when it started raining in my area lightning mode kicked on. The display showed lighting mode off probability 50% intensity 50%. Is this normal with weather enabled?

I had algae at first with this light I dialed back the reds to 10% and algae is gone.

uv 20
violet 70
dp blue 70
royal 70
green 40
red 10
white 60

I love the settings I am running now

Would 1 Hydra be enough on a 40b?

i think so, ai's charts show the reg hydra spread good for 30x30 @20in deep-or go the 52 like i have on my 45 cube and run it at half strength and its more than enough (80 degree lenses)
