OK guys I need some help. My SPS are starting to brown or have already turned brown. I moved some items off the sand bed and glued them in place on the rocks. Since I have done this most of my SPS have started browning, even the ones that was alread up there.

My water perameters are as follows
Ammonia 0
Nitiate 0
Nitrate 0
Phosphate 0.25
Calcium 520
Alkalinity 7.7
Magnesium 1380
PH 7.8

I have mostly SPS and a couple LPS. I run a 55W UV sterilizer 24x7 na oversized skimmer, carbon and GFO.

My lighting Scedule is this
on @ 930
Red 21%
Green 21%
RB 28%
DB 28%
V 28%
UV 28%
CW 21%

@ 1030
R 37%
G 37%
RB 49%
DB 49%
V 49%
UV 49%
CW 37%

@1230
R 48%
G 48%
RB 64%
DB 64%
V 64%
UV 64%
CW 48%

@1800
They start ramping down

So my question is? Besides my Alkilinity being a little low, IS my lights not turned up enough. I just adjusted them 5% today and am thinking to may wait a week or so and see if I get some color back.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The UV and CW can be powerfull. Yyour coral will put on sunblock and brown up in attempt to shade themselves.
Lower those levels and monitor.

It looks good. You customized all your settings correct? What is your highest settings on your CW, UV, Reds and Green? My colors are still brown with a little PE

I based them all off the 20k, 18K, 14K, 12K, and 10K. Then altered them from there. The highest my CW goes to is 90% along with pretty much the rest, but the overall doesn't go above 76%. That keeps them happy. You have to find the right mix for your specific application IMO. If it's still brown try putting it low, but directly in the light. That way the par reading is low there, but it still gets a lot of light. Remember too, it may not be just the lighting. Good luck with it!

I really like the simple and sleek looked of the AI oem ext railing systems. You have an awesome set up there and what a sexy Reef Savvy dt.

This is what i use on my SPS dominated tank. Where you see 15:30 to 16:30 I used that as m peak time and bumped the intensity up to 95. I recently added supplemental T5 for my peak time so I matched it to the normal intensity.

I have been running the Hydra52 lights for over a year now and I love them. For those that are acclumating or switching to them i recomend setting the color spectrum to what you want and then turn down the intensity and slowly every week bump it up between 3% to 5% then wait a week. The corals seem to handle this way better then having to adjust to both a changing spectrum and intensity. I would however set the uv really low at first and only bump it up 2%. The constant change in spectrum causes color issues in sps so adjusting the intensity stops this. I recommend one light for every 2 feet of tank. I have a 180 and I use three. If you acclimate this way you should have little issue switching. If you are switching from T5 be a little extra careful at first. If MH it is less so. My settings have really good growth and great color.

It is confusing at first for programing but after you do it a few times it is easy. Look for the copy feature when programing profiles for them. That way when you have programmed one light you can select copy and set the other lights up in just a few clicks exactly the same. Versus programing them individually. Once it is all programmed backup the config file. So if anything happens you can just import it.

I seem to have much better luck running the original Hydras.
