+1Aiptasia.
Depends on the fish, most i have seen or been around have not harmed coral and are awesome docile fish. I have heard some nip coral but it's like any other fish you deal with the personality of the individual. How dangerous are filefish to corals?
What about Joe’s juice? I saw some good reviews on that too.Filefish are best for an ongoing aiptasia problem. For one or two here and there I have good luck with Aiptasia X or kalk paste.
Ok, I may speak with my lfs and see what they say. The guy is super knowledgeableDepends on the fish, most i have seen or been around have not harmed coral and are awesome docile fish. I have heard some nip coral but it's like any other fish you deal with the personality of the individual.
Mine wiped out my aiptasia all right, then started on my rock flower nems. But he hasn't touched anything else. How dangerous are filefish to corals?
I have a torch coral, blastomussa, Xenia, and some sps. As far as I can tell right now it’s just those 2 aptasia growing. But I’ve come to decide to either do Joe’s juice and immediately cover it with epoxy. Or get the filefish because I have room for one more fish and they look awesome. But very nervous about it biting my corals.Looks like an aiptasia to me, we had those in our last tank and we purchased a filefish...ate every one of the aiptasia's. Now the filefish is my wife's favorite fish.
How long have you had the fish for?Mine wiped out my aiptasia all right, then started on my rock flower nems. But he hasn't touched anything else.
