Ah my stepson is a toolmaker for injection molds and so on. My better half works at a place that does injection molding and had owned her own place ( until a divorce ended that)
Me, 18 years Army, 8 years retail computer software and then 16 years as a computer consultant, hardware, networking. Did websites as well. Retired now ( not by choice but the Veterans administration and social security made it so. ( bad back from neck all the way done) so I spend lots of hours watching and playing around with the tank) A appeal awarded to me got me me current setup. But I hear you about income. I'm fixed ( as senior citizens say) so yeah gotta save and save before buying something

So what do you have in your tank now?

Aside from the YWG and pistol shrimp that were just added (did you watch those videos?), there's a fire shrimp, firefish and blue green chromis. Also a CUC from reef cleaners.

For coral I have 2 mushrooms and some zoas, all from 1 frag.

Ah I thought you had more. I'm going to add one more and that will be it, either a yellow tan for a flame angelfish. The better half wants both but no, the flame you got to watch. All of my present fish are at max a inch to a inch and a half and still going stron

Idk about angelfish much but I do know that our tanks are too small for tangs. Unfortunate because I really like them.

I am looking at a blue tang, he in my LFS right now and he's all of a inch if that. Live aquaria says 70 gallon tank and he could get up to a foot.

Yeah I know but I watch those yellow tangs that are three inches in the Petco tanks and say gee I can do get him and then I wake up. Supposedly the flame can nip at coral but CJ of CJ's Aquarium on YouTube has one and I'm waiting on a answer how it's doing in his 45 gallon
So I might get the flame next Wed
I enjoy watching the tanks wish I could get a bigger one. Almost went 65 gallons but the cost after everything. But I love the depth of the 45
Here's a pic of both my tanks from where I sit

I'm trying I'm moving the light closer to them. The bad thing is the anemone is all the way in the back of the tank. I don't think my light is bright enough ( no the sun doesn't shine on the tank and the other window stays dark as well) but money is money and you know how that is

Lighting is my weak point so I paid for the one with the reputation lol. The zoas I have are doing magnificently.

So which do you have? I even looked at the Pacifica from JBJ but said no, I'm down to 1 kessil 360, 2 kessil 160 or a SB reeflights, and I'm getting closer to the reeflights only because of the price unfortunately
I have two Jabao WP10's with the apex connector and a current marine led that I may try to sell only to try and get closer to the money I need

Compared to the last pic I took, I'll get a better one tomorrow after work, but you can zoom in on this one.

And the light is only running 85% intensity.

Just kidding it must be my light
