Well a couple weeks ago I knocked my feeder into my tank while doing a little cleaning so now I need another. I was using the Eheim and it was working fine but I thought I would see what everybody else is using before I purchased another one. I use it to feed pellets to my clowns. I looked at the Rena but wasn't "wowed" by it. (As if one can really be wowed by a fish feeder. :) ) Are there any other feeders out there worth looking at?

THanks

I've been using the Eheim Auto feeder for the last few years as well. I've had several go swimming too and I keep on replacing them with another Eheim!

things that make it awesome....It's no nonsence programming. Timer turns Power on - it dispenses for a predetermend lenght of time. Has a built in 15 min delay timer in case of power outages/brownouts so it wont feed twice within the 15 min.

Huge hopper for food. I have run spectrum pellets, and flake, or a mix of both and they all work great. I also left my fish alone for 4 weeks when I went to Malta last summer with this feeder and it worked flawlessly, so much so that I left it running even when I got back. And the hopper held 4 weeks of food no problem.

It comes with a funnel that can attach to the feeder and then goes about 1/2" under the surface of the water, so that flake and pellets have time to soak up water and go into the water column, instead of floating ontop and ending up in your overflow (This and the size of the hopper is what sold me)

Yeah the price is a little high around $100, but I needed to know my fish had a reliable feeder while I was away for 4 weeks. This did it no question, and I wouldnt suggest any other fish feeder after using this one.
