I have thousands of them come out when the moon lights are on. Keeps the glass clean. A six or eight line wrasse will get rid of alot of them.

If there isn't enough food to support them all some will starve.
Trade some off to your buddy's. :) I'm sure you can find people who can use them.

Had thousands of zebra snails and then when added a melanurus, almost all of them mysteriously disappeared.

my melanarus handles that problem for me too....excellent fish...I am sooooooooo much happier with the Mel over the sixline...My triggers made a feast of the baby snails and astrea stars that would come out at night...but I had to get rid of the triggers so now my wrasse just keeps getting bigger and bigger.

Had this "problem" a couple times with my turbos...only once saw one get to a juvenile stage. When little a lot of their foot is exposed making them easy prey for pretty much anything...but especially the wrasses.
