It’s very similar to mine actually.. only your white ramp up and down is different ..@Jason mack
Ok so here is my schedule. I was asking because right now, I'm running a 6.5 hour daylight cycle and I'm considering reducing it to 5 hours or less. Really its a few corals asking me to do this and I'm looking for ideas.
Btw the app is weird so it shifts from green to black. I dont know why...
#12 Is the full daylight cycle.
Agreed. After figuring out your percentages I realized the same. However you are running full daylight for 3 hours? It’s very similar to mine actually.. only your white ramp up and down is different ..
Yes 3 hrs at 30% should I do less ??Agreed. After figuring out your percentages I realized the same. However you are running full daylight for 3 hours?

Well to be honest ..... my nitrates are a steady 50 ppm .. have been for about 3-4 months before that a steady 25ppm... my phos runs from between 0.04 -0.1 ... I burn through rowaphos .. which is the reason I’ve added a DIY algea turf scrubber .. ...;Hilarious
I would think not. I'm just looking at your amazing tank trying to obtain some lighting perspective lol. Kind of interesting in that we both run different schedules yet see success. Put into full perspective, I think my light schedule keeps me dosing nutrients. There is certainly a correlation so I'm searching for the sweet spot so to speak.
I will trade you nutrient deficiency for nutrient richWell to be honest ..... my nitrates are a steady 50 ppm .. have been for about 3-4 months before that a steady 25ppm... my phos runs from between 0.04 -0.1 ... That’s very nice! Looks amazing! I’m just not sure if mines are to strong or not strong enough as I am new to this. My tank is 72x24x30 deep! My Duncan’s are turning brown my favia doesn’t look to well. She was mid column and I now moved her to the bottom. This is my tank progress. 3 years under black box lights.
What are you running your lights at ....blues ..whites..?That’s very nice! Looks amazing! I’m just not sure if mines are to strong or not strong enough as I am new to this. My tank is 72x24x30 deep! Ok I would turn your whites down first , run them at 30% or there abouts ..blues I'd leave at 100% . That's where my sweet spot was .. I would also recommend trying too borrow a par meter ...too check your par ...I have a seneye reef on my tank with a par meter ..good investment..Lights are 16 in above water and I pretty much started running them both blues and white at 100% to see if things start looking better. It’s been about 10 days at 100% if I’m home I’ll try to manually “ramp it” to 100%. Lights turn on around 6:30am and go off at 630 pm. Max intensity is usually about 4-6hrs.
I have 2 MarsAqua over my 220 72x24x30 deep for about 45 days now. Do you run them at full intensity? How do you like them? I’m thinking of switching lenses out to 90 degree?
Thanks a ton! The blue is a windex blue. I will try running them at apx 90% and 70%. I’ll eventually pick up some nicer lights but with the cost of setting my tank up and getting all necessary components I had to budget accordingly lol. Thanks for the info!I run the blues at pretty close to 100%, whites at about 60-70% - but I've got eggcrate lids, which act as intended; as a light diffuser. When I ever get around to building the BRS screen-top kit, I may have to scale back the intensity a bit. I've got corals growing on top of the rocks, and I've got corals growing in the sand.
I'm not over the moon about the color - the blues are kind of "windex" blue, and some of the deeper blue lights seem to offer more "pop" ... but if I can save $1,000.00 on lighting by putting up with the color - on my budget, I'll take it, and appreciate it.

Where can I find those specific ones? You can mod the lights and add more RB and violet to get better color and growth.
