Bulkhead blanking

I just brought a red sea reefer450 tank without the sump and with leaks round the bulkhead is it possible to blank the bulkhead holes off so an external filters could be used instead

Greetings and welcome to the reef. As has been said, it can be done with a little modification. However, if I were you, I would seize the opportunity to return it and buy something different. Do a quick search on RedSea failures. If you modify the tank, you will void the warranty. Then, if and when it fails, you'll be SOL. Just something to ponder.

If you are inclined to keep it, I highly suggest resealing the seams as well with momentive RTV. Check my threads. It's pretty simple. Prep work takes the longest. I didn't redo the joints.
