I'd love to get more fish. Everything I see locally is way too small. I saw a convict that I wanted but it was so skinny and only the size od a half dollar coin. It would have been harassed to death I'm sure. Need to find a local that's breaking down their tank.

I have no lfs now.... It's weird. I went from having a ton to nothing. I could drive an hour to Tampa or Orlando but the traffic in those areas sucks enough that IDK if it's worth the "maybe" journey

Alright, I did a better job of keeping track of everyone this week. I didn't have 45 pages to catch up on between everyone's threads.

Tank plans today WERE water change on toad and pony tanks - clean glass on peninsula.

I cleaned the glass, but the buckets are in the shed and it's pouring so the other tanks may not get their water changes.

I'm hoping that once I get the skimmer moved to the pony tank and I replace the lights on the ats that I'll see a reduction in algae over there. Now that the sea lettuce has absolutely overrun the toad tank, I don't have any hair algae whatsoever over there. I need to trim it back, but I wanted to use some to reseed the ats over in pony-land. I suspect the type I have is the kind that @tbrown was complaining about being pest-like. I don't want to put it in the pony display at risk of it overrunning everything.

Foxface has paid zero attention to the fish in the shu - I'm not sure if it's safe to release them or if I need to wait for him to realize they're there first. The only fish who noticed/acknowledged them was the orange shoulder, and it was more curiosity then moving along.

The stuff I had was a lot smaller "leaves". It almost looked like flat bubble algae but thicker and somewhat "waxier".

Hopefully yours is good stuff. Nothing in my tank would touch it.

Nothing in this tank *should* touch it - it's just my chunky predator monster. This is definitely huge sheets

New skimmer gets delivered today. Hopefully I'll feel alright enough to make the switch happen.

Released the 2 newbies yesterday because the brown seemed to be stressing in the container. They're both good today, not really integrated into the herd yet but hanging out together. The wrasse and anthias keep checking them out - not aggressively.

The scopas was not pleased with them initially, but doesn't seem to care today.

In the container, the blue was obviously going after food, the brown not so much. We'll see what happens during frozen feeding this morning.

I added a chunk of sea lettuce from the toad tank to the peninsula: the foxface, sailfin, and orange shoulder were fans.

Did not do the skimmer switch yesterday.. Probably won't get to it today either.

Got my sleep study kit yesterday. Had a terrible sleep last night with it.... We'll see how tonight goes.

Had physical therapy this morning - did dry needling for the first time. Was done in the inner/upper occipital muscles in the back of my skull/neck area. Immediate relief. It was crazy how instant the release was. Of course, now I can feel how bad some of the other ones are that I didn't notice as much because those were so tight and distracting me. Oops.

Relaxing for a bit then getting ready for work tonight.

Plans for tomorrow:
Skeletor vet appt.
Skimmer set up and switch around.
Replace top of pony ats (arrives today).
Follow-up with my primary (virtual appt though, yay).
Clean up and tend to plant room.
Maybe try to work in a nap if my sleep is as bad tonight as it was last night with the monitors on.
Run to post office or UPS at some point to return the sleep machine. I can't remember which the label said.
Those water changes I skipped over the weekend??

Living in white sands, new mexico for 10 years..... the 1 hour trip to petco was either great luck or just a bummer. Mostly just bummer.

They would sell random wrasses and anthias at 25. No one took the time to sort out the fish. Yellow belly regals at 79, yellow belly hippo tangs at 50. It was just a matter of.

And since your work hours are pretty much consistent, being able to hit up those fish spots on delivery day for a gem. Is probably going to someone else. so it does suck :(

Oddly, the cos in my previous area did not have saltwater fish - too much legit competition maybe?

The one here does. Except it's pretty much only ever clowns and a giant eel. Sometimes I'll see a sixline. This specific location stresses me out too much to enter regularly - sometimes I'll get my frozen there instead of work or ordering for delivery.
