Hey guys, so I am upgrading my tank to a nuvo fusion 30l and I was thinking of getting a flasher wrasse and a royal gamma. Will the flasher wrasse be ok in that tank? I am not going to jam my tank with LR.
Thanks

I probably wouldn't; it's not a whole lot of room.

I don't like to see Paracheilinus in less than 3 feet of tank, and while this tank qualifies in that regard, it offers very little room in the other two directions.

Agree with Hunter... There have been many times that I have kept small female and/or small initial phase males in my 30g (sometimes for many months) to allow them time to grow before moving them to the big reef. Once they are of a size that they can handle the flow in the big reef and are not at risk of slipping through the overflow grates, I move them. They are just very active fish.

I'd pass on the Flasher, as others have stated. If you want something that you don't see often that is friendlier to other tank mates, look for a 4 line Wrasse, they show up on Divers Den occasionally. They're much prettier than the 6 line wrasses and friendly. Should be fine in your size tank also. They run around 60 to 70 bucks, but I had one for years in my previous tank before selling it.

Well, relatively speaking on aggression, sure. But the entirely Psuedocheilinus is the same in that as they mature their aggression levels increase substantially.
Not a genus I'd recommend for this tank - all will make life tough eventually.

I agree on possum wrasse being a great addition and your best bet.

I'm late to the party here, but agree with the above. The dimensions of the tank aren't great for a paracheilinus. Pseudocheilinus will be a better fit, but temperament can vary from specimen to specimen. Possum wrasse is a very good suggestion.
