This is one of three pieces that showed up one day in a tank at my lfs. They have no idea where it came from and no idea what it is. I can't figure it out either.

It has polyps that extend about 1/8 of an inch off of the frag. There was nothing else in the tank that resembled this.

I thought it looked most like an encrusting monti, but it is much thicker than any I have seen.

Thanks! I am looking forward to see how it grows. It was a red cube and looked the same on all sides. Hoping that the right one was glued down.

You'll need to get a photo where the coral is in focus. In each of your photos, the plug, fingers or tupperwear are in focus but the coral isn't.
