Chalices cupping or plating?

Hey all!:) I have a few chalice frags and was wondering if there’s a way to tell if they are cupping or plating in growth structure.

Hopefully this helps anyone else who’s curious:)

Got any pictures? My Hollywood Stunner chalice initially grew like a plating type of coral for quite a while. It has since become a multi-cupped behemoth.
