Dinoflagellates my experience......h2o2 reefing tool!!!!!

I wonder if this would kill bubble algae???? I wish I had a microscope!!!

When you guys dip zoas and corals in peroxide how long do you guys dip for? Is the ratio 50/50?

I was wondering if the peroxide get rid of the red slime algae?

I have HA and have been trying Algaefix and no success so far so last night started h202, so will see how it goes.:squigglemouth:

1ml per 10gal of water volume... My system is 250gal overall and I figured like 200gal water so I went with 20ml daily...

trying it here on valonia. I have noticed my zoas close up for a while after dosing, has anyone else noticed effect on zoas?

BTW, my girlfriend saw me dosing and asked if I was trying to have 'bleach blonde' fish

Ive done this with zoas that have algae around them, i dip the whole rock/plug in h2o2 and it kills it off in about 30minutes!

I never knew you could dose a whole tank!

So it doesnt harm anything??

U put the zoas in however much water you want..i have a 1/2 gal tank for dipping..........then u put hydrogen peroxide in the tank by the cap full, stir the water after every cap, and keep on doing this until you see bubbles on the base of the zoa polyps, then once you see those dont put anymore in the water, let them sit for about 10minutes then take them out and put them in your tank, my zoas always seem so much happier after a h2o2 dip, they open more than they usually do

Thank you for replying

NP,Ive had great results with h2o2 dips on zoas

Watch them while in the dip, if they show signs of stress take them out of it

Like i said this works GREAT on getting algae of zoa frags, and it does it in 30minutes!!

I just started dosing my tank, using the 1ml/10 gallon ratio
Dosing 20ml for my system and planning on dosing for 1 week
I am only on day 2
I will post up what happens, I would think I should start seeing some type of results within the next couple of days

i started dosing a couple days ago on my 55gal, i didnt have a lot of algae problems in the tank, just a few small random spots of GHA in the back of the rockwork and some in the HOB skimmer. since i started dosing the algae in the skimmer has started falling out and turning brown, and the same with the small patches of GHA. im not dosing every day though becuase my tank is not currently where i am living. the 75 is now being worked on again to be put up at our new home and the 55 transfered into.
