Thanks, maybe I’ll stop using it and get one that was mentioned on this thread. Which would you recommend if you do not mind me asking.

I use food grade manganese gluconate. :)

Here’s the recipe for manganese gluconate by Randy:

Manganese gluconate is 12.4% manganese by weight.

Dissolve 1 gram of the solid material in 1 L of RO/DI. That solution contains 124 mg of manganese, so the concentration is 124 mg/L or 124 ug/mL.

Adding 1 mL to 100 L of tank water will boost aquarium manganese levels by 124 ug per 100 L or 1.24 ug/L.

I was wondering if anyone could clear something up for me. I’ve been using fauna Marin’s manganese supplement but recently decided to go diy. I’d like to make my diy supplement similar strength to fauna Marin so my dosing amount stays the same. I already bought gluconate so I believe this is still the most current recipe for mixing up a batch. My question lies with the strength of the mix as this states increases 1.24 ug/l per 1ml in 100L, fauna Marin increases 4 ug/l per 1ml in 100L. So can I increase the amount of gluconate I mix in to get similar results?

Thanks!
