I have a Flame Angel that has been in the tank for a couple years. He got along perfectly fine with the Yellow Tang and they are good buds. A couple months ago I added a Regal Tang to the tank. The flame and regal do not seem to get along. The funny part of it is the flame will swim backwards and try to tail whip the regal tang. I think he's been around tangs too long and things he is getting one of those scalpel things to fend others off with...

Anyone else see a fish adopt behaviors of a different species?
 
not with our reef but in fw. Have south American convit that's with Africans n its taken on their habits.

I had a flame that used to do the clown mating dance all the time with my female clown fish.

Good to hear mine isn't the only flame with an identity crisis. Have you hatched and flame clowns yet?
