Will the flesh on a torch coral regrow? Recently moved a Todd's torch and noticed recessed flesh yet the torch looks perfectly fine

A couple of my hammers definitely regrew flesh, but it took quite a long time. I'd guess Torches are no different.

Was it due to injury or from splitting

One was due to being too close to a torch below it and the base being irritated.

Other one was irritation due to being freshly glued to a frag disk. receded quite a bit up, but after a while i check again and the flesh was all the way back to the glue line again.
