Well, it official. I'm now 55 and can eat off the seniors menu! I am blessed to have the life I have. I love my kids, stepkids, grandkids, dogs, cats and my reef, but most of all my wife. She's my rock and is the world to me. I love her with all that I am! Eternal!

With it now Christmas and the new year is coming soon, me and the wife have been discussing starting a side business.

Coral sales, possible fish and inverts. Acrylic related hobby items......etc. Possible consultation and tank maintenance....

Web site development......etc.

Just talking at the moment, but this could come around for the new year, if the pieces fall together. Just on the side to test the waters.

Went salty and after the cycle in went some easy corals

I started out with T5's over this tank. Aquticlife 8 bulb fixture

But got tired of changing bulbs (ATI) and the cost involved, so in October of 2016 I switched over to the Mars Aqua units. Corals responded very well with the LED's.

And as of this month I modded them by replacing some of the diodes to mimic the SB reeflights layout

So that's about it. I've been slowly adding more and more SPS frags. Some acropora, some montipora caps and digitatas.

Fish as of right now:

Tomini tang
Paired ocellaris clownfish
mandarin dragonet goby
yellow coris wrasse
Vermiculite leopard wrasse

I love this hobby! Fins up and happy reefing!

Amazing tank and great work on design of everything! I see you used the quikrite cement and was wondering how it has held up overtime. Any chance you think it would work with live rock?

Thank you. It really needs to be dry to adhere properly and set up overnight. Mine has held up all these years.

Fiberglass Rods work well for wet live rock. People use reef safe putty/epoxies with live rock. I haven't tried them, so I have no working knowledge of how they work.

I have never tried to drill rocks before therefore I am just overwhelmed with the thought of it. I will plan on using this cement on dry rock I order in the future.
