Small update:

Testing some light hoods. The light in the room was bothering me a bit. I don't know what Ill use eventually, but this seems about right.

Overview

Here is an overview of the tank. I changed a few things since the start.
  • Display Tank 120x50x50
  • Sump 100x40x30
  • Skimmer Deltec 400i @ maximum possible
  • Returnpump Ecotech Vectra L2 @ 90%
  • UV EHEIM Reeflex UV 800
  • Filterroller Clarisea SK5000
  • Dosing Apex DOS
  • ATO Small tank with floatvalve
  • Lights 2x Ecotech XR30 G5 Pro
  • Reactor Bubble Magus reactor
  • Stone Natural stone (dead)
  • Sand Mixed Nature's Ocean BioActiv LiveSand with normal white sand
  • Red Light Tunze EcoChick
  • Refugium Mixed Soft coral and weeds

  • KH/MG/CA Calcium reactor
  • Trace Tropic Marin A+ and K-
  • Salt Tropic Marin Pro Reef
  • Feed Tropical Bionautic Flakes
  • Frozen Mysis
  • Frozen Artremia
  • Julian Sprung weeds

  • Temp 24.5/25 C
  • Salinity 35ppt @ 25C
  • KH 10
  • MG 1400
  • CA 480
  • No3 20
  • Po4 0.08
  • Trace only measured twice a year

I do not have extra powerheads. All the flow is created by the returnpump which has 4 outlets. The returnpump is push about 4800l/ph. The total volume is about 350 Liter. That’s a turnover of about 13 times per hour.

I change about 70liters (20%) every 4 weeks.

I feed Twice a day Flakes and once 2 cubes of frozen (not washed)

Lights ramp up from 10:00 until 15:00
Lights Max 15:00 until 22:00
Light ramp down from 22:00 until 00:00

I don’t clean the gravel (thin layer)

I adjust my KH/CA/MG based on KH. I keep KH at 10 and accept the CA and MG that comes with it. I have some luck with my CrushedCoral in my reactor. I don’t need to adjust dosing of CA and MG. (it’s not perfect but it does well)

I have the following Fish

  • Zebrasoma Xanthurum (1)
  • Zebrasoma Veliferum (1)
  • Paracanthurus hepatus (1)
  • Pseudanthias Squamipinnis (1)
  • Amphiprion Percula (2)
  • Pictichromis Porphyrea (1)
  • Salarias Fasciatus (1)
  • Chrysiptera Parasema (2)
  • Dascyllus Melanurus (2)
  • Damsel purple unknown (2)
  • Cirrhitichthys Falco (1)
  • Labroides Dimidiatus (1)

Other
  • Astropyga radiata (1)
  • Stenopus hispidus (1)
  • A few snails

My new green Haddoni Anemon.

Who is lovely.. it has crawled exactly to my favourite spot. Cant be better.
(it's gona take some time to get him to the correct spot, or at least, not this spot.)

So,

I did my homework. I placed a cover on top of the tank so the Haddoni didn't get light.
Only on the right side I left a bit of light. I hoped it would crawl that way.

And yes.. it worked. 36 hours later the Nem was more to the right where I could work with it.

I massaged the foot so it let go, and put it lower in the tank arround the spot I would prefer.

Now Hope is my only game.

Those carpets are amazing!
It took me some years to try them... but i am a happy reefer at the moment. Thanks :)

almost sorta starting to make a space for one(carpet) in my 160. Hmmm
I don't want to advise anyone to buy them, but I also want you to have one :)

Go for it, but read up. I mean.. they are a pain in the but and kill other coral. The little white skeleton left of the green carpet ... is a dead Torch. Couldn't save him. I did save 6 others... but this one got wiped out.
And they walk... and they move... en push rock with the feet... kill fish... stick to all and ~

But yeah :face-without-mouth:

I am trying to film more. I am at the top of my budget for now. 1080HD is the most I can get.

It does seem like some crazy setup, but it is in the end a Sony A7 II with the stock 28x70 F3.5 lens.
I try to add extra light and remove the reflection in the glass.

I am trying some ZoomFilters for my camera. These are cheap magnifying filters which attach to your lens.

A great and cheap way to get in a little closer on the subject. You do lose some detail and sharpness in the edges... but... not bad.
I didn't need to crop this photo and it was shot at 70cm distance with a 28x70mm lens zoomed in and a magnifying filter of 4x.

10 euro's for 4x zoom... Much cheaper as a the macro I want ;)
