H202 parasite killer!?!?!

Hey just wanted to let everyone know I just doctored up a zoster B/F with h202 the fish was suffering very badly from flukes and other parasitic infections and if I didn't do something soon he was going to be a dead guy!
So all I did was catch the fish in a net, prepared some h202 on some Qtips and lifted the fish out of the water holding in the net so I was able to DR. up the infected areas and within 2 hours the fish no longer has white puffy parasites and now just has a few red marks from the sores hmm any thoughts anyone?

Nice! That was smart to use it like you did and lift the fish out of the water and apply it directly to the infected area. I think if you would have made a dip with it and submerged the fish in it that it might have burned the gills of the fish.

Yeah that's what i was afraid of but I've heard of doing it but the way I did it seemed much more affective !

I wonder if vendors would be willing to take the same steps to ensure fish health? I'm currently using h202 in my system (going on 2 days over the period of a week) and used it for dipping frags in. So far I've had positive results.

H2o2 has been used for parasite control in commercial fish industry for many years, its just now sneaking into the aquarium
industry the last few years. 300mg/l to 500mg/l baths for 20 min depending on the species is about the norm. If you have eaten
comercially cultured fish in the past more than likely it was h2o2 treated. I use 25 to 50 mg/l in fresh water angel fish egg hatching
containers, achieving up to 100% hatch rates of the eggs, comercial salmon rasing also uses h2o2 for the same purpose.
There are a lot of uses for it, google searches will get you all the info you kneed. More than likely someone has already done
it and will have the results available.

Update zoster B/F is clean and clear after just the one treatment
I had to do this again with a Fowleri tang that had caught it from the zoster he had it pretty bad in the gills and everything so this time I filled up a bowl large enough for the fish and Set him in there with the net this time I just poured it over the fish both sides waited for it to start bubbling and put the fish back in the water once some of the bubbles had subsided I mixed 1 to 1 ratio of RODI water to one part h202 and filled up a syringe and infected it into the fishes Gill flaps this stunned the fish badly but after a minute or two of being released back into the QT he is swimming around and looks relieved he isn't breathing as hard as he was before the treatment will update later!
