I am having my vents cleaned in my house. My tank is in the basement. I covered them all with plastic. If a little dust gets in tank from the vents how bad could it be? Also can I have any problems if I keep my tanks covered for 2 or 3 hours?

Should Be fine I had mine wrapped for 5 hours last winter when power went out at 1am. Everything was fine.

Dust gets in tank every day more than you think. As Long as a large amount doesnt fall in you should be fine

You'll be fine. I was running electrical wire down to the basement and they came out down by my tank. I forgot to cover it and came down to pieces of plaster and dust from inside the wall floating in my tank. There was a lot. I skimmed the big stuff out with a net and there were never any issues.

good to know, thinking about getting mine done as well. nasty how dusty the house is! new filter and still, dusting and then I can dust again laster that day.

We had our ductwork done and no mess anywhere
If they know what they are doing they will plug all the vents and blow out one at a time, they also have this huge suction hose that sucks everything outside
If they do it like they are supposed to you don't have anything to worry about
