Hello everyone! I'm a reefer from Buffalo NY. I currently have a 55gal set up. I have about 45 lbs of live rock in the tank. 1 blue hippo tang(Dory), 2 clowns, a watchman goby, 2 emerald crabs, 2 purple firefish a yellow tang, a cleaner shrimp, fire shrimp and a red starfish. As far as corals go, I have a carpet anemone, gorgonia, frog spawn, purple torch, hammer, duncan's, and on their own rocks, I have xenia and recently added a zoa and on another rock I have Green star polyps. As far as equipment goes, I have a reef octopus 100 hand on skimmer, a BRS carbon reactor, a vortex mp10, and all this is lit up by a pair of Kessil a360we blue tuna lights and I have a tunze osmolator ATO. I have my own ro/di system for my water and use HW marine mix for my salt. I have been running this tank for 3 years and I have been growing(trying to at least) corals for just about a year. This hobby has made life easy for me. For the last 4 years I have been out of work due to an accident there. I have had health issues since, in which I have had 23 surgeries to fix a damage airway and still going. Being home for this long while raising a 3 boys will drive you crazy but not being able to live a normal life has been trying and having this tank has actually been making the last 3 years a lot easier. It has given me an escape. So thats a brief history of myself. I don't know how much I will post but will always stop by to search for help or post when I need it. Hoping that when I do go back to work I will be able to save up and go bigger with the tank. Thanks for letting me be apart of your community and Happy Reefing to all!
