I just wanted to introduce myself. I live in Alaska and have been in the hobby for about a year and half now. I started out with a SR60 AIO in May of last year. I had freshwater tanks growing up and while I was in college, but it's been quite a few years since then. I've been lurking on here for a while, and finally decided to join in on the party.

My wife and I recently just had a new house built and in the process we decided to take the opportunity to do a little upgrade. I'm in the middle of setting up a 300gal in wall build, complete with fish room. I'll be starting a build thread in the large tank forum shortly. Hope you all enjoy.

Welcome! How are your livestock options up there? I’d imagine it’d be expensive due to shipping.

We are lucky to have a really good LFS here in Anchorage. Prices seem very reasonable compared to what I see online.

Hey there! Welcome! What's the weather like in Alaska?

It's been pretty dreary here the last few weeks. No snow yet in Anchorage, just lots of fog. It's actually unseasonable warm. I only remember twice in last 15 years the ground wasn't covered in snow on Halloween.

Welcome to R2R, Congratulations on the new house the that you can now upgrade:rolleyes::D

Welcome home, you will love it here!

300 wall build, yes we are going to need to see that! Lots of pics of that build, please! ;)
