My name is Steve and I just started my first SW tank (75G). Man, this stuff is complicated but I am loving it. I am from OH, but I grew up as an USAF brat and then entered the AF and I have since retired.

So what encouraged me to get into this crazy hobby?....my grandson! He is into FW tanks but he is also interested in SW, and so here I am!

Look forward to talking to you,
Steve

Welcome to the Reef Steve. There is a plethora of info out there and opinions on everything. I find this group to be non judgmental with any questions no matter your experience. I’ve been into reefing for 10 years and I am still asking questions.
My one piece of advice, and you will hear this a lot....go slow. Nothing good ever happens in SW when you do to much to soon.

Welcome to R2R, Steve. You will find a lot of help here on R2R

Hey at the least you have a partner in saltwater, it should be a fun adventure for both of you:)
