Help. Mexspect ld165

I bought a Maxspect ld165… and I can’t get it to sync with my phone and internet. It keeps saying the device is not able to be located. The location on my phone and app are active. The light on the led was blinking red. So I’m not sure what I am doing wrong. Any thoughts ?

I don't have much to add. I gave up trying to connect it over my router. I only connect straight from my phone. Worst app as far as connectivity I've ever used. There is some info here that might help (post #14).

Your router likely has 2 networks. 2.4GHz and 5GHz. It will need to connect to the 2.4GHz to work.

Google Maxspect 2.4GHz and there are some detailed instructions on how to do it

I just connect to the light directly. I had way too much trouble. Thank you son much.
