Got an RODI system want to mount in washroom. Not sure what mounting hardware to use exactly. Plan is to mount it near my washing machine and run a Y-valve to it when I need to use it. Unit is outside but in my Lanai (FL). Will run waste water out via the drain line.

Thanks for any help.

I did a similar thing in my washroom although mine is in the basement so the install isn't pretty. I screwed the filter system and the extra DI resin to the wall and then plumbed my ROBuddy on a shelf nearby. For mounting hardware I just needed some tapcon screws but that is all dependant on what you are planning to do. Really, there is no right way to do this as long as you can access it easily to maintain.

One option is to secure a plywood backboard to your wall (painted black here), then you can screw things into that. Best wishes!

Did the rodi system you got have an included mounting bracket? If so it should have some “keyholes” on the back that gives you an idea of what size screws to use. Just ry and use at least 2 inch screws if going into a stud. ideally one of the screws would screw into a stud, but If you can’t find studs then look for the heaviest load wall anchors with screw heads that fit your bracket. The wall anchor usually includes the screw that would hold your bracket to the wall.

If going into drywall with no stud, Something like this looks like a good contender if you are a little handy…

(Agreed. My plywood backboard is screwed into studs. The water in a large RODI system is heavy!)
