Help with dimming leds!

So im getting rapid lleds soon and didint wanna spend extra 100 buck on dimming driver. so how can i make sure my leds arnt too powerful for my corals? can i put corals on sand bed and slowly move them up?:help:

You can do that, and or put some screen over the tank to darken it, or raise your unit high above the tank, and slowly lower it over a few weeks time.

You can use a pot switch as long as you purchased the drivers to run the leds lol.
