Hello, all I have had quite the GHA algae that just keeps coming back I am waiting on more test strips to get a better idea of why it keeps growing so bad.

In the meantime what does everyone recommend for LONGGGG GHA like 3-4INCH I have big Mexican Turbos, Smaller turbos and the algae on the small ones is like 4 inch... I would like I starry blenny as my dad put one in his tank and it ate a ton of algae. I have heard Sea hares will eat it.

I also heard Emerald Crabs are good however would like to stay away as I here different stuff about their aggression.

To add I do 5 Gallon water change every week in a 75Gallon

Please give recommendations on what's best for long GHA

Remove it by hand. No substitute for it, especially when that long. The rhizome is now likely established under the rock. That's not great but it does have benefits. Once you have remove the big clumps they'll always grow in the same place and it just becomes routine. Over time, the rhizome may die off due to your diligence or the CUC. As you take away the big clumps the CUC will make more of an impact. The usual CUC recommendations. I like Astrea snails but I have a smaller tank. For bigger I may go with an urchin. Not a fan of crabs either but my blue leg hermits seem to be good tank mates.

I have been pulling so muchhhh for weeks that's why I am looking for something a for a little more help everytime I do a water change I pull some and it's just back so quick... another reason is there's so much to do in one setting by the next week there's a bunch again. Phosphate around .2 have been out of nitrate kits... And was feeding 2 times a day have dropped that.. I have an Urchin as well he can't keep up at all I have a lot of rock so a lot of my snails just stay at the top.. Could it be the lights?

My tuxedo urchin eats the long stuff right up.

I also bought a biota dragon goby and it sucks down long hair algae like spaghetti.

Have had this issue in the past and my CUC was useless. Told Sea Hare best option but once finished might starve and best supplemented with vegetable option or returned/swapped with store or other hobbyist.

I'd rather keep it fed since once gone likely having same issue again. Learned that with a pincushion purchased for that reason yet only consumed surface algae and later apparently starved once that was gone. Turns out Astraea best for surface and pincushion was not needed. Sea Hare next try.
