Hey everyone im new here and new to the saltwater world. I'm starting by diving in deep to the world of big tanks. I posted the start of my build in that forum if you want to have a look.
Other than wanting to be a reefer i have had multiple freshwater cichlid tanks and currently have a 150ish gallon mixed cichlid tank/800ish gallon chinese water dragon enclosure, i keep and hobby breed some boa constrictors, enjoy working in the garage and have a mildly modified honda.
I live in a small rural town outside of winnipeg manitoba canada
look forward to getting to know you!

Welcome, from 850 miles due South :)

My new tank is in the 150-ish size range, I used to keep water dragons and boas, and at one time was breeding a couple varieties of monitors. I've got a customer in Winnipeg. Was up there a few years back... luckily, I don't have to actually go up there anymore... thanks to remote access :) Too darned cold for me, thanks.

Cool! small world. I had a savanna monitor at one point. lol its only -11c or 12f unless your in the wind then its more like -17c or 1f. awfully mild for this time of year lol.

I had a breeding pair of Nile monitors many moons ago. I gave up the large varanids when my oldest daughter was a toddler... just didn't make sense to keep something in the house that was quite capable of eating her. Huh. Doesn't seem that long ago... Crystal turns 30 next month :)

I also kept both Nile and Argus monitors......also stopped once the kids were born lol.
