I have been told I have flatworms. I knew it was a matter of time before something bad would happen to me. They are the ones that are on the glass and frag plugs. I went out bought a mandarin and six line. I really think there is to many now that i know what they look like. I just have frag tanks at the moment. I was going to plumb my 120 in this month for my show tank. I will be holding off till I get the flatworms under controll. I do not want to use flatworm exit at this pointCan you guys give me a idea of steps I can take to get it under controll. I was thinking of taking each frag out and putting them in a bowl and blasting them off with a turkey baster one at a time. They are also on the bottom of my tank on the crushed coral. I was going to suck them out with a hose. Is this a start or waste of time? Any suggestion are welcome.

flatworm exit is good, but since it sounds like you have a ton they will poison the system after dieng..ive heard the same about lowering nutrients but im not sure how

I've used flatworm exit in the past, just make sure you suck out as many as you can before you use it, run some carbon after and do a water change.

I was told by my LFS that they are not AEFW. There are just the ugly ones on the glass. So should I try to knock down the population and then use flatworm exit? Im trying to not use it. If thats my only choice then I will. I would like to know more of what Troylee said

They are scavengers, reducing nutrients means simply clean up the detritus they are eating, blow the rocks off once a week and cut back your feeding to bare minimum
