Mojano.JPG
Photo 1 was sold to me as a rock/flower anemone, but I am not so sure....

Photo two I think is Aptasia....

Photo 2.JPG

Confirmation/denials?

Thanks guys

Number one looks like a ric to me and the second one is a aspesta for sure.

#1 my first thought was ricordea... but not 100% sure.
#2 looks like a filter feeding worm, but again not sure.

that looks like a Bubble tip anem to me. it is not a rock or flower. that is for SURE. the other is aptasia.

Would be a definite bonus if that was a BTA, but I seriously doubt it due to the size of the critter. It attached to that skeleton immediately and then began to move, unfortunately toward my St. Thomas Shrooms....will keep an eye on it. Haven't seen the tank for a week now, will be another week before I get to see it again so will be interesting to see what has changed. Hate being away from the tank for a week or more at a time, but sure keeps me from messing with things :squigglemouth:

Thanks y'all!

#1 could be a dark colored majano.. which you dont want.
#2 could be aiptasia or some kind of worm/hydroid, hard to tell but if you look really close it looks like it has a tube or something..

Couldnt agree with you more. although the first pictured creature is a little on the dark side for a majano I would still put my money on it that it is.

ckecked the db for id of majano, and it does resemble them a little bit, but then again it doesn't. Going to watch it a bit and see what happens. Been wanting a nem for the clowns, but since they found the toadstool leather interesting last weekend, may be a moot point. not sure the toadstool would appreciate being a host, but not sure my tank lighting will support a nem. have 5 stunner 50/50 led's, one stunner uv and an ecoxitc panorama blue led over a bc14. lights are about 3" off water surface. so far everything is doing fine. gotta watch what I put in though as the sand sifting gobie kills anything on the bottom....dang it!
