I just had a brain storm "f..t" i checked if its hard or soft, super hard so its definitely SPS, now what SPS is it ???it might be a sponge but doesnt look like any sponges i have ever seen. thinking it is some sort of sps
its hard as it can be !, yes the polyps are just single strings, weird.Skeleton and color look like Heliopora (actually classified as a softy but has a skeleton) but the polyps look odd so I'm not sure.
Thanks henry, it does look like it. But i am noy so shue. Here is what I found and i did touch it, nothing yet LOL.It's fire coral. Be careful not to touch it. bing it or google it.
btw if it is...that is a protected species now and can no longer be collected in the wild...so great find! I've always wanted some. My LFS has a big colony in there display, but hasn't been willing to frag me a piece yet.
Yesssssssssss Yesssssssssss !!!!!!! "Young Frankenstein collection series, (Monster of the woods SPS) $ 1,500.00 for a 1/8" frag, dead or alive :)Keep it. Frag it. Name it. Sell to reefheads. :)
