I got several sps frags last week & 1 rtn'd in 48 hours but the skeleton hasn't turned white it's a pale yellow/green color. it is supposed to be a tenus I've had frags die before but they were always bone white so unsure if I should keep hoping or not

it doesn't hurt to keep it in the tank until you are sure it is dead...it sounds like it still has tissue on it

I guess anything is possible but in my years of keeping sps if it's got no skin it's not coming back.... Lps is different and this happens all the times but with sps I highly doubt it... Good luck either way man hope it works out...

Sorry about that lol... Yeah I mean why not it can't hurt anything if all the flesh is already gone... I have read reports of a acro start to peel and anything down stream of it would get infected also but have never experienced this in my own tank... I have came home to a bone white skeleton and the acro 1" away had no problems.... Give
It a shot and keep us updated...;)

I have a Red Planet that is coming back from the dead 7 months later.

Similarly, I had an ORA Rose Milli that completely died. I left the skeleton in the tank, it even started growing coralline algae on it. About a year later, I saw a couple polyps on it. Within about 8 months of that, it'd totally grown back. Needless to say, I was very shocked and pleasantly surprised!
