"An empty tank is like a blank canvas to an artist, the possibillites are endless!"

After a shortened 58g build, I lucked into a trade on a 4x2x2 120.. fresh canvas . The basic premise for build this will be dominated by choice SPS. Currently I only have a couple of pieces that managed to survive my big downsize.. 200g to a 30g Cube. I have several nice Zoas and a couple of LPS to add color until the tank is ready for SPS.

Fuge, nice enough to house a Stomapod!

More pics to come. I've transfered everything from the 58 & 30 over, except the clams, Black Clown pair and the Gold Torch they host. Doing a lot of water transfering between the 120 & 30g for aclimation purposes. Will be finishing up with the transfer today. I'll get some fresh pics up when it's done. I love the Pukani LR.. usually easy to aquascape. I spent alot more time than normal on the Aquascape, pieces just would fit/look right. Not sure it's finished.

I have a quick question and your sump doesn't the overflow for the refugium create bubbles and you return in the middle. And what did you use inside your Refugium did you use miracle mud and what microalgae? Thanks I'm going to be setting my sump/Refugium this week.

I've been building sump/fuges for 4+ years. Made some pretty neat ones in that time. This latest design I stole from a set-up I bought 2 yrs. ago. I've modified it slightly, but it works great for being so simple. 4 panes of cut glass and an old aquarium. The ball valve controls the Refugium flow. Typically you wouldn't want a fast flow here. Because it's slower rate, the water overflowing just slowly runs down the single glass baffle. No bubbles to worry about. I've never used Miracle Mud, always some part of an established sandbed if posible. Some LR, cheato or feathered calurpla.. easy enough to find from fellow reefers. I like to look at my fuge as an aquarium in it's own right.
