Thanks! You can't really see the full coloration of the acans on the left in the first pic but they're pretty intense, really deep dark colors. I'll see if I can get some more shots of my other frags/mini-colonies.

On another note, I've got a couple more pieces coming from the Alternative Reef to finish off the tank. Should look pretty sweet!

Tank looks great! Why'd you switch from the ReefFiltration LEDs? Were they too bright for your acans?

cool - how long till you get the other pieces in from alternate reef?

They were shipped on Thursday and should be here by Wednesday. I've got 2 magnetic shelves and 2 pieces for the sand bed. I've got a couple pics but I'd rather surprise everyone. It's gonna look pretty sick.

You may notice I also knocked off the very top shelf of the pillar to open it up a little bit. I think it looks pretty good.

Thanks! Yep, they were just too bright and the higher I raised them the brighter my room got, not sure what optics if any they had on them but that was the issue I ran into. They were great fixtures, don't get me wrong but the amount of control AI gives you over these fixtures is just insane.

The new pieces!

So here are some shots with the rest of the pieces from The Alternative Reef! I think it looks pretty good, eh?

Still working on my camera skills under the new LED's so hopefully they look at least somewhat accurate to you guys.

I wouldn't be discouraged by the lack of responses. Once the corals start growing in and the structures color up some more it will look outstanding. The big pillar is already getitng darker and before you know it it will look even better than it already does. I love the single montipora on the shelf. I think that will be a really nice looking colony in no time. Right now it still has that placed look. It will need a few months to grow in and darken up.

It is also spring and getting warmer all over and the boards are starting to slow down a bit. Keep the thread going. It is far from dead. I am definately watching the growth and can't wait to watch the tank mature.

Wow your acans are amazing! I like the way you have your rockwork, I think once it fills in it will look amazing!

Thanks guys! Wasn't really a cry for feedback, but I do appreciate it. Just weird seeing how many people view the posts compared to those who actually comment. Maybe I need to be a little more candid!

I think your tank is awesome! The rocks for the sandbed are a great idea. Where they magnetic shelves that you decided to put in the sand bed or made to place in the sand bed?

I like those shelves a lot, I'm on the waiting list to make something to cover my overflows as well. Well played on the placement of those, looks great.

very nice the two lower rocks are very nice and those mag shelves add a unique touch
one possibility would be to put like two or three dif colored caps on one of those shelves so the could grow together - could be cool
this tank has some real potential

i see you change your mind very often lol. i just went through your thread and i like were your tank is now. you have a nice coral collection. why did you change the led fixtures. feel free to pm me

LOL don't feel like the lone ranger, nobody comments on my tank thread ether. I think it just looks too intimidating to members when they see a tank thread with more than 3 pages. Seems like any more than 3 and they don't bother clicking on it...

And dude, you're holding out on me....... I want more pic's of something in this pic, guess what it is!!!!!
