LED dimming

I know you suppose to use the 10 OHM Potentiometer to dim your LED but computer have a lot of really cool fan controller out there, is there anyway I could incorporate them as LED dimmer? I don't know how much Ohms a fan controller typically use or the watt. So any Electrical genius out there who willing to help me out?

no...to dim your LEDs you need a driver with that capability. Is it a DIY setup?

What driver do you want to control?

It depends PWM or Analog 1-10vdc.

We like the analog better as its what the Profilux and APEX controllers use. The Meanwell ELN 60-48D and Inventronics Drivers are compatible with these controllers and use a 1-10vdc analog signal to control dimming.

Any 1-10vdc source attached to the control wires of the driver will work. The Radio Shack Enercell #273-315 works great as well. Even a 9vdc battery works but it only lasts a week or so.

If you want PWM source then you need the Meanwell ELN 60-48P
