This wrasse give me the wrasse disease also.
He is a pretty aggressive wrasse unless you have a large tank.
 
Bought this wrass, named (christmas wrass)
knowing they might change color , is this a melanurus wrass ?
FYI it has two very shiny gold bands on the back

c. katherinae or the temminicki variant? if it's the latter, does it get massive like temminicki does?

i honestly didn't even know about the debate until i started researching it this morning. my lfs has had real temminickis in before and ho mai, those are big fish. didn't want to stumble upon one by accident

the temminicki complex really didn't do much for me, but my lfs has this one in and it kind of caught my eye. i'm planning a peaceful fairy wrasse list based around orangeback being the dominant one, would a katherines work with that in mind?
 
Local guys think this is a T. jansenii? Not the greatest quality or size, it's from a FB video, can't seem to link.
