I have just finish setting up my new frag tanks and was debating on the lighting. The tanks are 33 gallon each four foot long. Was most likely going to put t-5's on but don't know how many I should have. The tanks are run off my 210 display tank which has a chiller so heat will not be an issue. I will be growing all types of coral SPS/LPS and acros.

My question is what would you do?
thanks Steve

I would check into the t-5 lighting. No experince there on how many you'd need. Maybe the ones who use them will help you out.

I went with a 400W MH and 2x 24W T5 actinic +'s for my 24" x 24" x 14" frag tank. I want fast growth and awesome color for the frag tank so the 400W at 6 hours a day and actinics at 12 hours per day IMO will do the trick.

That's a ton of intense light, but I know you grow some pretty cherry stuff. Though t5's are plenty for my frag tanks, it's hard to argue with the success that you've had!

I currently have 4x24w t5's over a 10" deep 20g, and am putting 4x54w (overdriven) over another 4 foot tank for more light intese sps to growout.
