Hey everyone! So a few months ago I decided to make the switch from fresh to salt. I had in the past delved into the nano world which had failed miserably. This time I decided to do go "all out" sort of. ;) I'll start with posting pics of my DIY LED build. The below pictures are of a rack system I built myself which I initially had installed the Luxeon K2 lights. I have since replaced them with CREE XP-G's and XR-E's. I'm currently running 72 LEDs over my 125 with a 1:1 ratio of CW to Blues, and the blues are at a 1:1 ratio of blue to royal blue.

Another pic of the rack installed

These were pics of the initial fill. I have 170 pounds in the tank and another 5-6 pounds in the sump.

Looks nice, can't wait to see it mature. Any plans for future inhabitants?

Why do you want something to eat the sponges in your fuge? They are good for the tank.

Good to know! Thanks for the heads up. Like my handle says, I'm a noob in this realm of fishkeeping. Though I've been keeping aquariums for the last 6yrs or so, this is my first real jump into saltwater.

Very nice! Question, did you glue a rock to your top right corner or was I missing what was holding it up?

That's one of those Mag-rocks. It's held up by a magnet through the glass. Figured I'd give it a try. :)

Form or function: Do you consider your rock work to be art or the platform for your coral?
