Hi all!
I’ve been researching saltwater aquariums for a little while now and visiting my local LFS’s. I’m fortunate enough that WWC is 5 minute away from where I work. Everyday, I have been going there on lunch. Gathering inspiration, asking questions, getting honest reviews and advice.

I have not yet gotten a tank or light, or really any of the major components to have a display ready but, in my last trip toThe WWC Farm/headquarters, I was told I could cycle rock in a trashcan. So, I did. I went to Lowe’s and got a brute can, HomeDepot for 3 buckets (and a sale on Milwaukee bits). I bought 45lbs of different dry rock (shelf, foundation, marco), 15gal of premixed salt water, a power head, heater, and microbacter7.

I started dosing a cap full of it daily, starting on Sunday, February 15, 2020. I plan on doing a 50% Water change this Sunday. I plan on doing daily cap fulls for 2 weeks and once a week after that, per recommendation.

I have dreams of a 100+ gallon peninsula tank but looking to get started with a 20-40 long or a 50 lowboy. Till then I continue to research and gather supplies. I welcome positive feedback and constructive criticism. I look forward to learning and documenting my progress. Pictures to come. Thanks for having me and happy reefing
