Niger trigger and lionfish

Hello everyone I'm new to the forum and trying to find my way around so please forgive me if I'm doing this incorrectly. I've had an 55 gallon for about 2yrs Fowlr. I've just upgraded to 110. I want to do Niger trigger, Naso Tang and a lionfish. I've been researching and all I've gotten is confused. So I'm looking for some straight input. The Niger is my must have if the others aren't a good idea I'm looking for suggestions

Interesting combo. I have no experience with either fish. Hopefully someone who has can share thoughts.

Niger would be fine for a few years, but will probably get too big for a 110 in three or so years. Picasso triggers stay smaller and might be a better option (I have both in my 220 reef tank). The naso, even if bought small, will be too big for a 110 in less than a year. I wouldn't bother with it unless you have at least a 180 upgrade in the works. They are big swimmers and need space (I have one of these too). Mine could probably use a tank bigger than my 220. I'm not as familiar with lion fish, but I think it would be ok in a 110.

Triggers can and most likely will nip the lions fins from what I've read. I've never attempted putting them in together though :S

Well I only have a lionfish, I have a 150 gallon. He is getting large. They say 150 is the smallest for my lion. He will get the size of a football. Lol. There is other lionfish that are not so big as mine like dwarf to medium size. That will be nice. Good luck

My Niger trigger is so darn territorial. Never touched a fish or coral but if I dare put anything in a different place or put a new coral in the tank the crazy fish goes on a warpath and pics up corals and moves them everywhere. You pay shipping and you can have mine lol.

I had em both in a 125g tank without issues. They both got quite big also.

Same for me. I think the are really curious fish. Like you said, if I move something he might move it again. I've seen mine haul around pretty good sized chunks of live rock. If he doesn't like how I positioned my sand, he'll lay on his side, flutter his tail, and blast sand everywhere. I like him though. Great entertaining personality.
