NSA 250 gallon aquascape feedback

Looking for tips/feedback

Off to a good start! If I had any advice, it would be to add some small rock near the bases of each structure to form "caves" to give fish a place to hide. You can do that and still keep the NSA look. The two larger structures look very cool.....maybe add a third in the middle varying the height from the other two. Also, try to keep the whole scape modular. When I first started everything was anchored together. There will come times when you need or want to move or take out a piece (whether it be to remove pests, trim coral, clean algae, or even just turn a rock slightly to change how light is hitting a colony).

I’m thinking about making a middle “fish maze/anemone cave” for the middle too.

Re: modular. 100% agreed. Thinking of 3 pieces, especially since this will go into a eurobraced tank, so the openings aren’t huge.

For me personally I don’t like this style as it’s not natural, it’s like a designer ultra modern scape.

I’m older school and still enjoy my “piles” lol.

My current scape is pretty similiar to yours with three islands (I have since added two more small islands for additional SPS mounting space). Not sure how well it shows in the pic but I hollowed out two of the three base rocks and created tunnels for safety for some of the skittish fish.

I just keep reminding myself that BRS said this takes 20-40 hours to NSA well. They weren’t kidding.

More caves incoming next week, too.

Gonna get the two main pillars done, then figure out the middle of the tank.
