So...I forgot how much I hate aptasia, lol. Last time I had a few pop up, which was several years ago, I used a mango wand, with mixed results. Anything new out there for them? Some are going to be a pain to get to without moving rock, which I don’t want to do.

Peppermint shrimp are so hit or miss....

More things came today. Going to get all this in place today. The powerhead I currently have in the tank was one that I ordered in error. It’s the midsize, which would be great if I didn’t have sand. I got the desktop one in today. The other one will now be a super fancy salt mixer, lol.

I played with an app on my phone to get the exact color of the coral. With that, the rocks look like clumps of blueberries lol. I have more coral but I will have to snap a few pics tomorrow

Really loving this aquascape. Tank is looking great!

Thank you. I’ve got to get creative with coral placement when I start adding more but overall, I’m enjoying the aquascape for sure. I will add a nice gorgonia at some point and a big hunk of monti cap. Have to find the ones I like first

So, here’s a not so exciting post. Maintenance and lighting. First, I forgot how much water actually evaporates from these tanks in the winter months, lol. An ATO will be a future purchase for sure. For now, I top off daily, clean glass as needed. Water changes weekly at the rate of a few gallons.

Chamber one (left side), IM caddy with filter floss, Chemi pure, IM Phosban.

Chamber two (left side), marine pure gems

Center (return) chamber, filter floss by overflows, heater, IM Mighty Jet adjustable return pump.

Chamber one (right side), same as left side

Chamber two (right side), IM skimmer (their new model) which has really surprised me and is very quite.

In addition to the upgraded, stronger return pump, I have the IM wave link, which is also very nice.

Lighting, I run the AI Prime HD and this the the schedule I have on it. I like a bluer color in the tank, and at its peak time, it is about 20-22k.
