After 12 years of loving this hobby, I had a few life set backs and decided to give it up. I vowed I’d never go back again, but, here I am, lol. After a few years of not having my heavenly box of water, I decided I wanted to hop back into it. So this begins my new build thread. Stuff is still otw to me so it will be a little slow to begin with.

Tank
Nuvo Fusion 20

Lighting
AI Prime HD (black), metal tank mount (black)

Flow
IM Mighty Jet Return Pump 326gph
IM Spin Stream
IM Wave Link Power Head

Filtration
IM NUVOSkim Protein Skimmer (new model)
IM MiniMax PRO Media Reactor (not yet ordered)

Sand and Rock
Nature’s Ocean Reef Sand
Real Reef Rock mixed with Tonga, all rock is live and very seasoned

Stand
Pine Stand (black). It’s a 36” stand so I can have some extra space on the sides. I will likely build a custom stand down the road, but for a while, this one will do and will look good.

Livestock
I’m still planning this. I know I will have a lot of zoas, some monti, Duncan, frog spawn, and other LPS. I doubt I will get into the harder SPS again. As far as fish and other critters, fire shrimp, a few blue reef hermits, few snails, POSSIBLY black storm clowns. The fish will come to me at some point I’m sure. I want beautiful but minimal for obvious space reasons. I even thought about a goby and a few cardinals.

Anyway, I’m excited to be back in the game and back on the forum. Everything should be going together this week. The light was delivered today, the rest will be here at the latter part of the week.

I made it almost 3 years with no water. After 12 years of doing it, it’s definitely hard to just quit.

I do want to ask a question. I see a lot of talk about Marine Pure. Does anyone use or recommend it? I’ve never used it and don’t know much about it.

New shipment came in today. The skimmer, which is the new model, seems very nicely built and well thought out. Skimmer has rubber feet, upgraded pump with bubble plate, collection cup is thick and not flimsy. Hope it performs wel!!!

After I completed the stand, I added the tank and all the equipment. Organized the wires the best way I could for now. I’ll evetually add a “wall, to mount everything and run the wires behind it.

Today, I will be doing a revamp of the rock. I want more room for a few things. I’m very picky about my rock, and although it looks nice the way it is, I will do it over to make it easier for coral additions and hiding spots.

The power head I purchased is the one for the midsize aquariums. I thought I ordered the desktop one, but, nope. Even on the lowest setting, it moves sand fairly bad. I’ll be ordering the new one and using this one to mix water and have as a spare.

I like this one a lot. In the first, I thought that rock between the two structures looked out of place. This one is very natural looking and quite interesting.
