I can live with that pricing, they just shipped my 2L for $30 I bought last weekIn stock at SWA
They’re also offering it at 5L size for $60
That’s half of what the Red Sea bulk liquids cost for 5L

When I get through my 2 sets, I am either switching to BRS chems for the alkalinity and calcium/mg portion. Then I will just add the NYOS trace elements to those solutions OR my plan is to switch to Not A Feesh and their sodium hydroxide system
Cost or just reliability of availability?
I can't get an answer from them on the powder being available in the states
Above is the answer I got in another thread.RoanokeReef, yes it will be available Q1 in the US. We will launch it January in Germany. It will be the exact same product like the liquids, just more economically. The idea is you dissolve the whole canister (100% of it) at once (and it makes exactly 3 liters). We hope this makes the dissolving as easy as possible.

I switched from the Red Sea 4-part to the NYOS ion-b about 10 days ago and after about a week of trial and error I have found that I'm dosing nearly the exact same amount of the NYOS Alk part-2 as I was the Red Sea Alk part-2. i.e. With Red Sea I was dosing 54 mLs per day of part-2 (and 27 mLs of part-1) and am now dosing 55 mLs of both of the NYOS parts. How'd the transition go for you?SWA is selling 5 liter jugs at $59.99 each
I ordered 2
Should tide me over until the powder becomes available - and still half the cost of the Red Sea stuff I was buying before

Same - except I noticed a huge spike in consumption which I'm really (X) Doubting - I am wondering if the solution is struggling to stay in suspension properly
I have new jugs that just arrived and I'll be switching out today and we'll see if my alk starts climbing.
I'm up to 70ml which I don't believe is accurate given how many corals I have and their sizes.
Interesting. I haven't experienced this. I'm also not seeing any build-up on my heaters or other equipment so I'm feeling pretty good that it's not precipitating out.
Btw @rtparty my latest jug of nyos alkalinity has a big ol chunk of precipitation in it
I know you had mentioned that happening to you

My alk keeps dropping and I had to go up to 80ml / day
Doesn’t seem right since I was around 50-60 when using Red Sea alk before I switched over to Nyos
I don’t think this is an 80ml/day alk tank in terms of growth - at this rate I’m looking at $60 a month in just two part
I don’t even have birds nest corals anymore which were my big alk sinks in the previous system
If I can’t figure this out I’ll have to look at other options
They both claim 10k DKH/literDo they claim to be the same potency?
