So we've been low key for awhile, shut down our large tanks and downgraded to a 50 cube while we were building our new house. It's been 6 months since we moved in to our new home and something has been missing. Needed a tank that could hold a few tangs... after debating on just buying a ml 300dd, we decided to explore some custom options. After several quotes and deciding on dimensions we came across a brand new acrylic peninsula at a great deal. Tank comes in at 96x42x36. Yea I know what your thinking 36 tall... geeze, but we've had 31" before so what's 5 more inches.... now the build. I was nervous about the stand. I built my 300dd stand and 220 stand but 600 was scaring me. After discussing with a few people and going to see large 450 gallons and 750 gallons I went with 2x6 and 3/4 ply as the support and will throw another 3/4 birch on top of that. Unfortunately having a big family I cant dedicate a room to a reef room so everything will go under this monster. Pictured here is the cheap bar coming out to put the tank.

That's a HUGE dog!
Did you check to see if you will be able to get that skimmer under the tank? Looks pretty tall from the pics.

Maybe it's just the pics, but the tank doesn't look 42" wide? What's under the floor? Slab? Either way, big fan of 36" high.

Awesome build, I think with peninsula style tank you gotta go closed loop! Gonna look awesome and no ugly power heads in a way.
Just make sure to drill tank for schedule 80 bulkheads :)
Can’t wait to see this tank when it’s fully setup.

I’m wondering what pumps are you planning to use?
