They look really close to me, how do you tell them a part and why were at it might as well show some off. Lets see them.

Could we get some comparison pics? :)

From my experience prostratas branch more and milles table more. I could have them backwards.

I always thought that prostratas had more of a pointed tip. But I very much so could be backwards. I also thought milles have a little more of a thicker branch like a Hyacinthus

milles are stubbier and have more radial coralittes. prostratas are much smoother and elongated. sometimes you wont be able to tell as small frags or mini colonies

Anyone have colony pics of both in their tank. All my prostrata's are just frags.

The corallites are identicle, the differentce is in the growth and colony structure. You can't tell frags apart.

Acropora millepora described by Vernon-
"Colonies are corymbose cushions, with short uniform branches. Axial corallites are distinctive; they are tubular in shape. Radial corallites are closely compacted and all the same size. They have prominent lower lips giving a scale-like appearance."

Acropora prostata described by Vernon-
"Colonies form corymbose or irregular cushions with thin elongate branches. Axial corallites are tubular in shape. Radial corallites are all the same size. They have prominent lower lips giving a scale-like appearance."
